The Apartment

A fresh modern upgrade of the former servants quarters quite different to life 200 years ago! (The old servant's bells are still mostly working in the main house). It is now a stylish and very comfortable one bedroom apartment overlooking fields of green beautiful Devon, and with your own entrance. Come home to an open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room after a day exploring north Devon, crack open a beer, play some games or have a hot bath - simply perfect when you're on holiday! Situated upstairs one level, above the now kitchen of the main house, it is part of the house, but also very separate, with it's own spiral staircase and entrance. You can keep to yourself, or come for a chat and meet our mix of very friendly animals! There is a king size bed in the bedroom, plus a pull-out double bed for kids in the lounge. We have a travel cot if required. The full kitchen has a fan assisted oven, 4 ring induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer & all the cooking equipment & utensils, olive oil, salt, pepper, etc. 

Feel free to walk around the manicured gardens in our 4 acres of space. It's beautiful. There is a dedicated outside garden and BBQ area overlooking fields and the large manicured vegetable garden. We're always keen for a chat and to help with any local tourist attractions and recommendations :-) Tucked out of the way in the middle of fields, with 2 distant neighbours You're gonna need some wheels, or good shoes :-) The house is a private family residence with young children and a few animals running around the garden (ponies, lambs, donkey, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, ducks, cats, and of course a dog). It is beautifully quiet and dark at night around here (lovely for stargazing), but with an array of animals and family life, does have it's noisy times! The apartment is child friendly with toys, stairgate, etc. but as we do have animals and a river and pond in the garden, whilst mostly fenced off, we just ask you to keep this in mind when you're here.
