Welcome to Beachborough Country House.
Hidden away in the village of Kentisbury on the edge of
Exmoor Nation Park is Beachborough. A grade II listed old Georgian rectory
set in 4 acres of gardens and woodlands, bordered by its own stream. Perfect
for private parties, self-indulgent walkers or anyone simply wanting to
get away.
The feel is 'country house', mixed style with informality,
flag stoned floors, marble fireplaces, huge sash windows with shutters
rather than curtains. This is an easygoing place; you have the run of
the house and the biggest compliment is you forget you are a guest!
Beachborough provides an ideal setting for a holiday or
a short break, near to Exmoor National Park, whether to enjoy summer sun or winter gales and log fires.
Guests are very welcome to enjoy relaxing in the south facing sitting
room.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
Double, twin, family and disabled ensuite bedrooms are
available, all offering full central heating, complimentary tea and coffee
making facilities, hairdryers and colour TV.
Optional Candle Lit Dinners
The dining room at Beachborough Country House provides
an enchanting place for visitors to take optional dinner. Plus, the proprietor
Viviane Clout is more than happy to cater and host private dinner parties
for small groups of friends or family as required.
An example evening meal:
Local beef or venison Bourguinon with redcurrent and toasted walnuts followed
by
Devon apple cake with cider syrup and clotted cream
all ingredients locally sourced and often home grown.
Prices
Bed and breakfast is charged from £35.00 per person
per night (or from £65 per room per night). Generous children's
discounts apply with cots provided free of charge. (No cards accepted.)
